Parvati has come to us after being tethered and neglected in a field. She was crying for her mother but no body came. Fortunately for her some compassionate humans came to her aid and they brought her to us. Parvati is a very affectionate sheep who is best friends with Cussie the alpaca.
Pipi the cat
Pipi was brought in from the local area as an unwanted pet. She is such a friendly little girl. We can't understand why she was unwanted. She lives in 'the cat room' with the rest of the house cats. Pipi can often be spotted on the roof overseeing the days events.
Sanchez the sheep
Sanchez is a young male sheep. Sanchez enjoys eating the fallen pears in the summer and is known for approaching volunteers in the hope of food. He lives with the flock who roam freely in the meadow.
Jose the turkey
Jose arrived here after being used in a Christmas advert. He's a very confident turkey and is the top of the hierarchy in the raffle. He is never very far away from the other male turkeys here, who frequently move as one unit and approach strangers to ruffle their feathers, gobble and posture.
Cussie the alpaca
Cussie has been with us since 2014. He was rescued along with Dave and Daphne the goats. Cussie was being kept in a dog cage that he couldn't stand up or stretch his neck in. He loves walking in our meadows. He dislikes dogs but loves the sheep and is very protective of them.
Frida the chicken
Frida came to us from a 'free range' farm. Unfortunately, in practice 'free range' is not as it sounds. Birds are crammed into large sheds with little opportunity for a natural life. Frida is now truly free range. Roaming freely over 10 acres and filling her days searching for unlucky insects to snack upon.
